Get out of the way, dammit!
I finally actually got around to making it up to Lime Rock Park in Connecticut for their annual round in the American LeMans Series.
I missed the race last year because of the Boadrum event which just had to fall on the exact same day.
Pictured above is a divine Porsche as it leaves the paddock.
I am only now getting this online as I am very busy and lazy simultaneously.
I planned to write a whole bunch of shit but it was not to be.
More photos and bullshit after the jump.

Paul Newman passed away on Friday at his farmhouse in Westport, CT. Aside from being a racing nut in the best possible way, Paul gave away close to a quarter of a billion dollars to charity through his Newman’s Own brand. I don’t like eulogies much but anyone who becomes as famous as Paul did is prone to inflating their sense of importance in the world. He was, by all accounts, one of the most down to earth people ever.
In my book, anyone who owns a racing team, places on the podium at LeMans, stars in “Cool Hand Luke”, gives away hundreds of millions of dollars to charity, and lands on Nixon’s enemies list (among many, many other accomplishments) is thereby unimpeachable.
more cars from Japan. just a small gallery of a few I shot while there various times.
Cute car at Sakurajima volcano, Kyushu. 05/2006
I visited the Toyota Automobile Museum in June of 2006. I am just now getting around to putting these up.
1936 Toyoda Model AA. Yes, it was Toyoda then, seriously.
No idea on the year of this Alfa Romeo but it is beautiful. The dash is wood, no shot of that as I was in my car and had no place to park and take more shots. It is a bit beaten up, but impressive for New York. I stood and stared at it the week before, the owner moved it at one point and the engine sound was satisfying. Oct, 07.
